"MATERIAL TESTING"

Today I went to the Mechanics of Material Laboratory to conduct the material testing.

And here is one of the results obtained for tensile test.

Results generated by the software of UTM Tensile Machine

Specimen is hold tightly with the extensometer

Specimen is fractured once load applied is exceeded

Meanwhile, this is the tester that I used for the hardness test.

"HEAT TRANSFER"

Today I am bit tired, so just let's scroll down and down and down for images.

Images can tell you thousand stories, aren't they?

So people say.  :)

Let's get it started!

"A HOLIDAY IN THE WORKSHOP"

The mid-semester is just started.
And I am spending my time in the machining workshop trying to get my specimen's fabrication done.

EDM Wire Cut is the machine that I used for the workpieces cutting.

This is the EDM Wire Cut Fabuc used for the specimen's fabrication

A thin single-strand metal wire with 0.25mm diameter is used to cut off the raw workpiece

Setup for workpiece clamping

The workpiece is cut based on contour programmed
